Charleston Tells Storytelling Festival
The third annual Charleston Tells Storytelling Festival will be held March 13-14 under the oaks at Wragg Square in historic downtown Charleston. National and local storytellers are featured in programs planned for both Friday and Saturday nights, including outdoor ghost stories Saturday night. During the day Saturday, there will be multiple concurrent performances, including a tent with activities and programs the whole family can enjoy. The Festival, presented by Charleston County Public Library, blends the area’s Southern charm and rich heritage with a deep-rooted respect for oral history as a revered art form. Featured national tellers include Charlotte Blake Alston, Michael Reno Harrell, Bil Lepp and Corinne Stavish. Friday, March 13 from 7-9:30 p.m., Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
