Charleston Jazz Orchestra Latin Night – Monk, No Chaser: The Latin Side of Thelonious Monk

Charleston’s resident big band continues its seventh season, returning this fall with the Charleston Jazz Orchestra’s Latin Night on Saturday, September 19. Music Director and Conductor, Maestro Charlton Singleton, will lead the group in an inventive program, combining the unique, improvisational style of jazz legend Thelonious Monk with the Afro-Latin rhythmic touches of Latin Jazz. September 19 at Charleston Music Hall, 37 John Street. Show times are 5pm and 8pm. Tickets are $35 – $45 for adults, $30 – $40 for seniors (65+), and $10 for students. Tickets available online or by phone. Presented by Jazz Artists of Charleston.
