Chamber Music with Friends Series Finale

Chamber Music Charleston’s grand finale to the “Chamber Music with Friends” series brings an ambitious program of music for clarinet, horn, violin, viola, cello, and piano to Sottile Theatre on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 3 p.m. Clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein and French horn player R.J. Kelly will be joined by violinist Amy Schwartz Moretti, violist Matthew Lipman, cellist Raphael Bell, and pianist Andrew Armstrong for this exciting program of music.

The program opens with Rachmaninov’s Trio élégiaque No. 1 in g minor, a single movement work composed in 1892, the year the composer graduated from the Moscow Conservatory.  We then travel through a selection of individual works for clarinet, horn, viola and piano.  The program concludes with Dohnyani’s boldly dramatic Sextet in C Major, Op. 37.
