“Carolina Landscapes” paintings by Al Beyer
“Carolina Landscapes – Paintings by Al Beyer” will be on exhibit October 31 through February 28 at the Museum of York County in Rock Hill. A collection of large-scale realistic oil paintings, “Carolina Landscapes” encompasses the viewer in both scale and detail – the largest painting is nearly seven feet long. In his work, Al Beyer captures the dynamic composition and rich nuances of light, color, and pattern found in regional woodland settings. Beyer, a professor of art at the University of South Carolina Aiken since 1981, has earned many prestigious awards for his paintings, which have been exhibited widely across the country and are included in public and private art collections.
