Carolina Backcountry Christmas
Sumter County Museum presents Carolina Backcountry Christmas December 8 from 2 – 4 p.m. During this Christmas-themed backcountry living history day, costumed interpreters will demonstrate blacksmithing, spinning and weaving, and other traditional skills of the early 19th century. There will be chestnuts roasting over an open fire, plus cider and cookies in the log cabin. The main building, the Williams-Brice House, will be open and decorated for the season. Free.
