Call for Entries/ Request for Qualifications: Herb Skolnick Mosaic Mural
The City of Pompano Beach is looking to commission an artist or artist team for a work-for-hire project for an exterior mosaic wall mural located at the Herb Skolnick Civic Center. The selected artist(s) will be required to design, fabricate, and install the artwork at the Civic Center. This is a Request for Qualifications.
The theme for the project is abstract and colorful. The artist will ensure that the design can stand up to South Florida weather conditions and wind load requirements. No words or logos are to be used. The size of the mural must be 9 x 6 feet.
The purchase budget established for the project is $18,000. The price will include all insurance, taxes, fees, permits, delivery, and installation. Shortlisted artists must submit a detailed budget list.
