Please join us Friday, June 20th from 6:30-8:30 for the conclusion of Brittany M. Watkins’ residency at Richland Library.

Featuring recent remnant works, mixed-media paintings, and a new large-scale installation, this work recontextualizes discarded materials and household goods to examine the relationship between consumer culture and the stability of the individual.

Watkins addresses the concept of “The American Dream,” inviting viewers to confront the reality of life without basic needs. These vibrant, painterly works may have experienced hardship, but they stand resilient.
