Borscht Belt: An Evening of Chekhov Farces

Spartanburg Little Theatre presents Borscht Belt: An Evening of Chekhov Farces, and evening of vaudevilles written by famed Russian dramatist Anton Chekhov and directed by HUB-BUB/SLT artist-in-residence Anna Abhau Elliott. These four short plays – The Bear, The Proposal, The Dangers of Tobacco and The Reluctant Tragic Hero – are a funny and relevant glimpse into the complexities of marriage, the difficulties of everyday life and the unexpected ways people fall in love. April 3 & 4 at 8pm. $5 minimum suggested donation at the door. In the Black Box theater at the Chapman Cultural Center.
