Book Talk with Natasha Boyd, Author of The Indigo Girl
The Charleston Museum will host a book talk and signing March 29 with Natasha Boyd, author of The Indigo Girl, a work of historical fiction about the life of Eliza Lucas Pinckney. Inheriting her father’s plantation at age 16, Pinckney experimented with numerous crops before finding success in the cultivation of indigo, a prized plant used for dying textiles. Boyd will talk about her novel and the extensive research that went into writing it. Free.
