Beginning Wheel Throwing Mondays – November/December
Have you ever wanted to learn to make pottery on the wheel? Columbia Art Center offers Beginning Wheel Throwing classes for ages 15 years and up, in multiple sessions throughout the year: March 9th through April 13th, May 4th through June 15th, July 6th through August 10th, September 14th through October 19th, and November 9th through December 21st. Each session meets Mondays from 6 to 8 pm for six weeks. This course will teach students the basics of throwing pottery; at the end of the course, they may elect to re-take the class or advance to Next Step Wheel Throwing or Wheel Throwing 102. Instructors Elisabeth Donato, TaTa Hadtstein and Jessica Hall alternate between sessions. The registration fee covers instruction and operational costs. Students must have their own pottery tool kit (available at the Art Center for $10). Each session requires a minimum enrollment of three and a maximum of six. The registration deadline is two weeks before the first class.
