Beginning Glaze Application – One Day Workshop

Columbia Art Center offers a Beginning Glaze Application workshop September 14. This workshop will focus on application and use of cone 5 glazes. Basic applications methods will be taught include dipping, pouring, trailing, brushing, and spraying. Masking and resist techniques will be covered. How to minimize common problems will be addressed. Cone 5 glazes will be the focus. Participant should bring 3 or 4 bisque pieces of stoneware or porcelain to test techniques. The pieces should not exceed 6 inches in any direction. Class size limited to maximum of 6.
