Beginner Pyrography Workshop

City of Columbia Parks and Recreation offers a Beginner Pyrography Workshop February 10 at the Columbia Art Center. Participants will create wood-burned projects under the guidance of Dr. Linda Lake. Using a solid point or variable temperature wood burner, students will learn how to transfer images to wood, how to control the tool, and how to use different strokes creating shading. $60 registration fee includes all wood necessary for the class projects and a tutorial for future reference. Students should bring a wood burner (available at any craft store). Minimum of 3 and a maximum of 9 in the class. Appropriate for ages 14 through adults.
