Banastre Tarleton: Bloody Ban at the Battle of Cowpens | a FREE Chautauqua History Alive Show

On the anniversary of the Battle of Cowpens, the dastardly Banastre Tarleton, better known as “The Butcher,” returns to the scene of his crimes. History comes alive at a free Greenville Chautauqua performance at Spartanburg County Library, Headquarters. One show only – Tuesday January 12 at 7:00pm. Experience the Battle of Cowpens as told by the dashing British commander whose arrogance and ability defined the battle but could not defeat the Continental Army. Boo, hiss, ask questions. Bloody Ban Tarleton will have to answer – to you – for his despicable deeds. Performed by Ken Johnston who last year at this time brought to life the Battle of Cowpens as the South Carolina hero Daniel Morgan, to a Standing Room only crowd. Now you can hear the other side of the story.
