Artist Lecture, Mountain and Watercolor: Riccarda de Eccher
The Halsey Institute presents an artist lecture by Riccarda de Eccher on Tuesday, March 1 from 6-7pm in the auditorium of the School of Sciences and Mathematics at the College of Charleston. The artist’s subject is mountains, more specifically the Dolomites, part of the Alps in Northern Italy. de Eccher will discuss her fascination with these mountains and the artwork that has resulted from her lifelong conversation with the natural world. Born in Bolzano, Italy de Eccher started painting, mostly in large format watercolor, later in life. She has climbed and hiked mountains throughout her life.
