ART21: Vancouver – free film screening
Spartanburg Art Museum and Hub City Tap House present Episode 3 from the Peabody Award-winning series ART21: Art in the Twenty-First Century, March 30. In small and tightly knit Vancouver, artists reframe the world through a series of sophisticated illusions. By recreating historical moments, staging photos of vernacular scenes, and crafting intricate sculptures that trick the eye, artists reveal how everyday images and moments from the past are not always what they seem. The film will be projected onto the 13-foot-high walls of the Hub City Tap House. Each screening is followed by a Q&A and discussion with museum curators and art educators from area colleges. Free.
