An Evening with Filmmakers Ken Burns and Henry Louis Gates, Jr.

American Fault Line: Race and the American Ideal is an evening with Ken Burns and Henry Louis Gates, jr. as they lead a conversation on race in America with previews of Burns’s new film, “Jackie Robinson” and Gates’ new film, “Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise”. This event is being held in support of the International African American Museum on Wednesday, December 9th, 7:00 PM at the Charleston Gaillard Center. Tickets are $25, $10 for seniors and students, and they can be purchased at www.GaillardCenter.com. Doors open at 5:30 pm and attendees are invited to step into a testimonial booth, an opportunity for residents to give brief comments about why the museum is important or stories about their experiences and ideas about race in our country.
