“America’s Musical Heritage” – Greenville Concert Band in Greenville

Greenville Concert Band explores America’s Musical Heritage with selections by Henry Fillmore, George Gershwin, James Horner and Andrew Balent. The program includes popular favorites like “Strike Up the Band” and “Hollywood Blockbusters” as well as more unusual works such as Hindemith’s “Symphonic Metamorphosis” and the “Harlem Nocture” by Earle Hagen, featuring Band president Stan Widener as the saxophone soloist. Family friendly. The concert will be performed twice: March 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Greenville Technical College Auditorium, with free admission; and March 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Younts Center for the Performing Arts in Fountain Inn, with tickets $10 for adults (17-54), $7 for seniors (55 & up), and $5 for students (any age).
