American Portraits featuring Dallas Brass and Daniel Rodriguez

USC Aiken presents American Portraits January 18 at The Etherredge Center. A brand-new production combining the energy and precision of the Dallas Brass with “America’s Beloved Tenor” Daniel Rodriguez, American Portraits includes a choreographed multi-image projection. Since its founding in 1983 by Michael Levine, the Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles. The group has established a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full complement of drums and percussion, which creates a performing entity of extraordinary range and musical challenges. Rodriguez, the Brooklyn-born, now-retired police officer, helped uplift the country after the 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attacks with his stirring rendition of “God Bless America.”  Tickets: $40.
