Alice in Wonderland turns 150 Years Old

One and a half centuries ago, the Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dodgson penned a funny little tale under his nom de plume, Lewis Carroll. Through his artistry, actor Howard Burnham becomes the man who wrote the charming, whimsical puzzlement known as Alice in Wonderland. On Sunday, November 15 the town of Summerville will be magically transformed into that strange and charming Wonderland created by Lewis Carroll 150 years ago. Burnham returns to Summerville in his one-man show, A Dream Within A Dream: 150 Years of Alice. The performance will take place in Doar Hall at St. Paul’s Summerville, 316 W. Carolina Avenue. Showtime is 6:00 pm. The performance is sponsored by the Timrod Library. Tickets are $25 with a $5 discount for Timrod members.
