AHC of North Augusta Presents “Out of Africa” Exhibit
The Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta (AHC) presents “Out of Africa,” on view June 6 through August 19 in the main gallery. The exhibition features over 80 pieces of African art from the locally-owned corporate collection of Tibi Winston, Ltd. Included in the exhibit is an 8′ carved Senufo Hornbill, masks, statues, furniture, musical instruments, weaponry, farm implements, and brass figurines. This unique collection includes items never before exhibited in the CSRA and were produced in 20 countries throughout the African continent, primarily during the late 19th and 20th centuries. A reception for “Out of Africa” and the summer heritage exhibit will be held July 13 from 7 to 9 pm.
