Across the Water with Columbia Baroque: “The Danube”

Columbia Baroque welcomes special guest artist Serena Hill-LaRoche, soprano, for a concert of music composed and performed at the Austro-Hungarian courts featuring vocal works by Monteverdi and Gluck; a recorder concerto by Vivaldi; and closing the season with Pachelbel’s “Canon and Gigue in D major.” Across the Water with Columbia Baroque: “The Danube” will be performed May 13 at the USC School of Music in Columbia. Hill-LaRoche joins Columbia Baroque members: Britnee Siemon, mezzo soprano; Jean Hein, Baroque recorders; Erika Cutler, Baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba; and Jerry Curry, harpsichord.
