A Night to Remember Gala
Charleston Symphony Orchestra will open its 80th season with the gala, “A Night to Remember” on September 10th, featuring a special performance with renowned pianist Leon Fleisher. Fleisher will play Ravel’s Piano Concerto for the Left Hand, and he and his wife, Katherine Jacobson, will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 7 in F major for two pianos. For the second half of the concert, Charleston Symphony Orchestra will perform Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World.” The Charleston Symphony Orchestra League is co-hosting the elegant 1930s-themed event at the Charleston Gaillard Center featuring a reception, performance, gala dinner and auction. The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. Tickets $165.
