“A Latin Flavor” with special guest, Pepe Romero
The Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra will conclude its 2015-2016 season on Saturday, April 30, with “A Latin Flavor” featuring world-renowned guitarist, Pepe Romero. The event will start at 6:00 p.m. when doors open to the Twichell Auditorium lobby for a pre-concert reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Concert goers are invited to the pre-concert talk, “Classical Conversations” with Chris Vaneman, from 6:15-6:45pm. At 7:00pm, Maestro Sarah Ioannides take to the stage to lead the orchestra in this Spanish and Latin American inspired concert. The program also includes music from Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Heitor Villa-Lobos’s Sinfonia, Rodrigo’s Aranjuez concerto, and De Falla’s Three-Cornered Hat Suite.
