By now you are probably familiar with South Carolina’s Ag + Art Tour, yes?

An artisan with a handmade quilt draped on a table engages an Ag and Art Tour visitor about the craft. The are on a covered porch on a sunny day.Every spring, Clemson Cooperative Extension partners with counties across the state for a series of weekend farm crawls that feature the best of rural and arts and creativity. It has grown every year since its inception, and there is participation now in 20 counties!

Hundreds of sites open their gates and allow visitors to experience farm life while browsing wares from South Carolina creatives—artisans who sell unique crafts through their arts-based businesses.

If you can’t tell, The Hub loves everything about the Ag + Art Tour except that we can’t drop everything and go right now. (Patience, grasshopper.)

Ag + Art is looking for artisans to engage visitors through demonstrations and performances and fun. The deadline to join up is easy to remember: good ol’ April 15. No reason to (ahem) get moooo-ving now or make hay-ste, but we wanted to plant a seed or two in your mind.

Happy Friday!
