Weird Science: A History of Human Knowledge
The Weird Science: A History of Human Knowledge exhibit at the University of South Carolina Hollings Library Gallery showcases books, essays, advertisements, old-time medicine bottles and other remnants of early scientific thinking to trace the history of science with an emphasis on the odd, unique, and wonderful. Displays feature the Irvin Department of Rare Books and Special Collections’ rich holdings in natural philosophy, and materials from the antebellum core collection of the South Caroliniana Library. The exhibit runs October 4 – December 20 and is co-sponsored by University Libraries and the Ann Johnson Institute for Science, Technology & Society. Free.
