Museum Matinee: Lion in Blue & Gray
The 2018 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with the film Lions in Blue & Gray July 11 at 1 p.m. This locally produced documentary tells the story of generals Joshua Chamberlain and Stonewall Jackson. As colonel of the 20th Maine Infantry, Chamberlain is credited by many as saving the battle of Gettysburg for the Union Army through his defense of Little Round Top. Jackson was renowned as a Southern military genius and was known as General Robert E. Lee’s “right arm” before his death following the battle of Chancellorsville. Free.
