Call for Artists: ConTEXT III
The Foundry Art Centre is seeking submissions for “ConTEXT III,” an all-media exhibition focusing on the written word’s role in the visual arts. The philosophy of this exhibition is that, “The power of words cannot be overstated. Contemporary society is saturated with media and this exhibition showcases how intertwined the literary and visual arts are. We must ask ourselves how the words we read, and how we read them, impacts our understanding of the world. What happens when the visual arts and literary arts are fused?” Awards include Best in Show with a “Going Solo” Exhibition, and Two Juror’s Choice Awards of $150 cash each. Open to all artists 18 years and older, world-wide; both amateur and professional; including alternative and traditional artwork. The submission deadline is March 16th.
