“Birds in Art” at the Museum of York County
An annual touring exhibition featuring artists from around the world comes to the Museum of York County in Rock Hill December 17th to April 9th. Embodying the museum’s enduring theme of the convergence of art and nature, “Birds in Art” features over 60 works, including paintings, sculpture and graphics, that portray avian life. Organized by the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin, “Birds in Art” is in its 41st year. More than 500 artists submit their work every year to be juried into the exhibition. Through varied mediums and themes, the artists offer fresh perspectives and capture a wide range of aspects of avian life. Free with museum admission.
